Which plan fits which builder
These are starting points, not rules. Your proposal sets out exactly what is included.
- Growth suits a renovator or custom home builder in one market who needs a working website, SEO for a few project types and a review routine, or a small GC focused on one sector.
- Elite suits firms running both tracks, B2B and homeowner, or a builder running paid campaigns alongside SEO. The website discount helps if your current site is out of date.
- Enterprise suits multi-region GCs, developers with several active projects, and firms that want a dedicated team and a new site as part of the plan.
What drives cost
Construction marketing costs vary for clear reasons:
- Number of tracks. Running both B2B and homeowner marketing is more work than one.
- Number of markets. Three cities need three sets of pages, profiles and campaigns.
- Project record. Firms with many projects but few photos or write-ups need more production at the start.
- Paid media. Ad spend is a separate budget from the plan, and managing more campaigns takes more time.
- Language. Quebec work and many New Brunswick markets need French content, which adds production.
Worked example: is it worth it?
Take a custom home builder with an average contract of $750,000 and a net margin of 8%. Each signed home is worth about $60,000 in profit. On the Elite plan billed annually, the yearly plan cost is $35,988, plus GST/HST. If marketing produces one additional signed home a year, it roughly covers the plan with room to spare, before ad spend. If it produces two, it clearly pays.
For a commercial GC, the maths runs through the bid-hit ratio instead. Our budget guide works through both versions with formulas you can use on your own numbers. These figures are illustrations, not predictions.
Ways to lower the cost of results
The plan fee is only part of the picture. These habits often make a bigger difference to cost per signed project:
- Answer enquiries the same day. Slow replies waste every dollar spent bringing the enquiry in.
- Supply project details and photos promptly. Production time is a real cost; organised project records reduce it.
- Track outcomes. Telling us which enquiries became site visits and contracts lets us move budget to what works.
- Pick fewer, clearer targets. Two project types in three municipalities beat ten project types everywhere.
What we confirm in writing
Some questions can only be answered for your situation, so they go in your written proposal, not on a web page:
- exactly which services and how many markets are included
- how ad spend is handled
- what reporting you receive and how often
- who works on your account
If something matters to you and isn't on this page, ask, and we'll put the answer in writing.

Frequently asked questions
Is ad spend included in the plan price?
Treat ad spend as a separate budget unless your written proposal says otherwise. How ad spend is paid and billed is set out in your proposal before anything starts.
Are there long-term contracts?
No. Each construction client stays on a month-to-month plan and can stop it with 30 days' notice. Annual billing is optional and comes at a lower monthly rate.
Do you charge GST or HST?
Yes. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and construction firms add GST/HST for their province, or GST and QST in Quebec.
Is the first consultation really free?
Yes. The initial 30-minute consultation is free for eligible trades and construction businesses, and it is separate from any paid plan.
Can we buy only a website?
Website packages are available through Trades.Agency. The Elite plan includes 50% off Trades.Agency website design packages and Enterprise includes a website design and build, so compare those before budgeting a site separately.
