Results from our HVAC work, and what they mean for a builder

Our published case studies come from heating and cooling companies. We present them as results from our HVAC work and explain which parts of the method a construction firm can use.

Written by Ali Sedighi, MBALast updated:

Every number on this page comes from our HVAC and heating work. We present these as results from our HVAC work and never as construction projects. They are here because they show a method that works when it is measured properly, and because a builder can judge for themselves which parts would carry over.

What transfers to construction

Some parts of the method move across almost unchanged.

  • Pages built from real work. HVAC service pages and construction project pages do the same job: they prove you have done this before, for someone like the reader. Roma's growth came from that kind of page, built over a year.
  • Answering questions buyers ask before they call. HeatLand's 850+ articles answered heating questions. A builder's version answers cost drivers, permit steps, timelines and delivery methods. Fewer pages, more depth.
  • Tracking from first contact to revenue. HVACDeal's 12:1 ROI is only knowable because leads were followed to sales. For a builder, that means following enquiries to site visits, proposals and signed contracts.
  • Review routines. GasBoilers.ca's reviews came from asking consistently. Builders can do the same at handover. See the reputation service.

What doesn't transfer

Be sceptical of anyone who copies trade results straight onto construction.

  • Sales cycle. A furnace replacement may be decided in days. A custom home or a tenant fit-out can take months or a year. Early measures matter more for builders.
  • Lead volume. A heating company may want hundreds of leads a month. A GC signing 12 projects a year needs a few dozen good conversations, and more volume can be a burden.
  • The B2B side. Owner relationships, prequalification and invitations to bid have no real equivalent in residential HVAC. That part of our work, described on the B2B pipeline page, is built specifically for construction.
  • Seasonality. Builders' seasons are about starts, permits and weather windows, not cold snaps.

How we would measure your results

For a construction firm, we agree on measures at the start. A typical set:

Track Early measures (months 1–3) Business measures (months 4–12)
Homeowner Qualified enquiries, site visits booked Signed contracts, cost per signed project
B2B Meetings held, prequalifications submitted Invitations to bid, shortlist and award rate
Both Calls, texts and emails by source Revenue from marketing-sourced work

We report these monthly in plain language. If a measure isn't moving, we explain why and what we will change. Our budget maths guide shows how to set targets from your own bid log.

Questions to ask about any case study

When any marketer shows you results, including us, ask:

  1. Is the client named and the site live? Anonymous results are hard to check.
  2. What was measured? Traffic, leads and ROI are different things.
  3. Over what period? Twelve months of SEO and 90 days of ads aren't comparable.
  4. Is it the same kind of business as yours? If not, what specifically transfers?

A note on honesty

We won't publish invented construction case studies, client quotes or project counts, and we won't help you publish them either. If you become a client and your results are strong, we may ask your permission to write them up. Until then, this page shows what we can prove.

See pricing or contact us to talk through your numbers.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have construction case studies?

Not published ones. Our published case studies are HVAC results, and we never present them as construction projects. What we can show is the method behind them and how we would apply and measure it for your firm.

Why would HVAC results matter to a builder?

The building blocks are the same: pages that prove capability, content that answers buyer questions, tracked calls and enquiries, and reviews gathered at the right time. What differs is the length of the sale and the value of each contract.

Can you promise we'll see similar numbers?

No. Your results depend on your market, backlog, project values, competition and how quickly your team responds. We agree on measures up front and report them monthly.

Where can I see the full case studies?

The full list is on HVAC.Agency's case studies page, and each client's live site is linked here so you can see the work.
